The Institute for Learning in Retirement is a member-directed organization providing learning experiences for mature adults.

The ILR is sponsored by Slippery Rock University.

Membership dues are $60 through March 1 or $100 through Sept. 1, 2011.

Membership includes the ability to take up to 12 classes at no additional charge, priority over nonmembers when registering for classes, and discounts on ILR day trips and other events. Class prices vary for those enrolling as nonmembers.

Classes are held in Slippery Rock and Zelienople.
