You have got to be kidding! Another Butler School District property tax increase is being considered. When are district residents going to wake up and start disputing this? Year after year, the board increases the tax millage. Board members make the increases sound so minimal, but added together they amount to a substantial sum. Meanwhile, it would be a further slap in the face for property owners if the county were to move ahead with building a new $10 million office building. Maybe the county commissioners shouldn’t be making more than $70,000 a year either. It’s time to figure out another way to acquire revenue, and quit attacking property owners who are trying to keep from drowning in taxes.
