County to get 1 to 3 inches of snow tonight



Butler County is expected to get 1 to 3 inches of snow tonight, according to the National Weather Service.
The chance of precipitation is 80 percent.
Spokesman John Darnley said this morning the heaviest snowfall is expect to occur between midnight and 4 a.m.
However, most of the snow is expected to be south of the county.
“Butler is just outside the winter weather advisory,” Darnley said.
Allegheny County is expected to get 3 to 5 inches of snow.
There is a 30 percent chance of rain in Butler after 4 p.m. today. The high will be 37 degrees. The low tonight will be 28.
On Wednesday it will be windy and cloudy with light snow. Highs around 36°F.
The chance of precipitation near 90 percent with an additional snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
