Someone who bought a lottery ticket in Evans City is $250,000 richer.

That is because one of the two jackpot-winning Cash 5 tickets sold for Monday’s drawing was sold at the Uni Express, 128 E. Main St., Evans City.

The other ticket was sold in Philadelphia.

This means the $500,000 jackpot will be split by winners on opposite ends of the state.

Each ticket matched all five balls, 03-09-14-37-40, to win individual prizes of $250,000, less 25 percent federal withholding.

Each retailer will receive a $500 bonus for selling a winning ticket.

Lottery officials cannot confirm the identities of the winners until the prizes are claimed and the tickets are validated. Cash 5 winners have one year from the drawing date to claim prizes.
