Writer's view flawed

In a letter printed on April 9, Max A. Baptiste suggested that we admit one illegal alien into the country for every abortion performed — approximately 50 million to date.

He goes on to say that God “loves all of us, and the majority are Christians.”

Baptiste obviously lives in a bubble. If God loves Christians more than everyone else, why are His churches closing at such an alarming rate?

Also, it would seem to me that if God held Christians in such high regard, he would protect their priesthood from the inception of so many pedophiles — people who actually do harm to our nation’s children — although it has always been Christians’ policy to concern themselves only with unborn children.

Once born, it seems they couldn’t care less about them.

It seems to me that Catholics’ time would be better spent fixing their own broken-down system instead of claiming to be God’s favorites, and conjuring up cockamamie schemes to complain about Roe v. Wade — a functional and fair system that was made long ago, and that has proven to work best for this country and its true majority.
