John Rihel and Danielle Plaisted

An Oct. 5 wedding is being planned by Danielle Plaisted and John Rihel, both of Butler.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Dan and Lois Plaisted of Butler. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Cynthia and the late Glenn Rihel of Slippery Rock.

The bride-elect is a 2006 graduate of Butler High School. She graduated from Malone University with a bachelor’s degree in zoo and wildlife management in 2010 and received her master’s degree in environmental science from Clarion University in 2012.

She is a watershed scientist with the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy in Indiana, Pa.

Her fiance graduated in 2006 from Slippery Rock High School.

He is a lineman for West Penn Power in Butler.
