As property owners in Butler City the last thing that we need is higher taxes.

While we support the Centre City Project and the redevelopment of downtown Butler, we are bigger supporters of our local home owners.

It is hard to make ends meet these days, and paying higher real estate taxes to support the City Redevelopment Authority’s proposal (which is supported by Mayor Maggie Stock) to fund the new parking garage is not something we want to do.

Tom Donaldson’s idea to have the developer pay a greater share of the cost is a better idea — and one that we can afford.
