Karns City rolls past Punxsutawney

Union downs C-L; A-C Valley falls

The Karns City football team continued to roll, blowing past Punxsutawney 56-6 Friday night.

Tyler Kepple threw a pair of touchdown passes and Tristan Rhoades intercepted a pass and returned it 67 yards for a touchdown in the rout.

The Gremlins (6-1, 3-0) have won all of their games with the mercy-clock running and led 36-6 at the half.

Adam Whited scored two touchdowns, one on a pass reception and the other on a run, and Zach Moore and Evan Stitt also found the end zone.

Rhoades also caught a touchdown pass for the Gremlins.

Union 32, Clarion-Limestone 21

Lane Cicciarelli was 8-of-12 passing for 234 yards and three touchdowns as Union pulled away from Clarion-Limestone in the second half.

Cicciarelli tossed TD pass of 37 and 47 yards to Chet Carmichael and 83 yards to Shane Murphy in the win.

Carmichael had a huge day for the Golden Knights (3-4, 2-2). He also rumbled 55 yards on an end around for a touchdown and picked off a Clarion-Limestone pass in the end zone early in the second half with Union clinging to a 12-7 lead.

Cody Stockdill got Union going early with a 55-yard touchdown run on the second play of the game.

Keystone 30, A-C Valley 14

Mike Suto rushed for 130 yards including a 20-yard touchdown, but the Falcons couldn’t stick close to Keystone.

The Falcons (0-7, 0-4) trailed Keystone (1-6, 1-3) 12-7 at halftime.

A-C Valley quarterback Cody Jones was 3-for-8 passing for 53 yards and a 29-yard touchdown to Austin Morgan.

Dustin Fletcher had 10 tackles for the Falcons in the loss.
