Valgene C. Miller
Valgene C. Miller, 89, of Chicora went to be with her Lord and Savior early Saturday morning at Concordia Lutheran Ministries in Cabot.
She was born in Rural Valley, Armstrong County, on Aug. 10, 1924, the daughter of the late Jacob H. Harkleroad and Ruby E. Stuchel Harkleroad.
Valgene was a Christian and a longtime member of St. John Reformed Church in Chicora.
She married J. Raymond Miller on Sept. 27, 1941. He passed away on April 30, 1997.
She enjoyed decorating cakes, quilting and crocheting.
She is survived by her daughters, Janet and Ronald Fulton of Ocala, Fla., Sandra and Miles Turner of Springfield, Mo., and Karyn and Francis Blatt of Butler; her sons, Robert J. and Sandy Miller of Butler and William J. and Ethel Miller of Ocala, Fla.; 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren, and her half-sister, Marlene Baker of Beauford, N.C.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is also preceded in death by her brother, Glenn Harkleroad.

Slippery Rock and Main streets, Chicora.The funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. John's Reformed Church, 334 W. Slippery Rock St., Chicora, with her pastor, the Rev. John Pistorius, officiating.
