I didn’t know Deputy Coroner, Dennis Trzeciak, but I feel like I do now after reading Jim Smith’s article, “Deputy coroner closes career,” in the April 13 Eagle. It was a well written profile of a life dedicated to public service.

The individuals and experiences that shaped Trzeciak’s compassion for victims and their families were woven nicely into his life story. The article was like reading a full biography in just a few columns.

Best wishes to Trzeciak in his retirement and thanks to the reporter, Jim Smith for an outstanding article.
