Knoch softball tops Highlands

Knoch earned some revenge Thursday night, defeating Highlands 10-5 at Laura Doerr Park.

Chandler Krelow crushed a 3-run home run for Knoch (6-3, 4-2) and also doubled. Bethany Hay added a solo home run and had three singles, while Codi Reed drove in two runs for the Knights.

Karns City 7, Keystone 2 — Jensen Bachman had a key hit to help the Gremlins stay undefeated.

Bachman smacked a two- run double in the fifth to put Karns City (4-0) ahead for good.

The Gremlins also two got hits from Brittany Coyle, Alyssa Gibson and Clara Stoughton.

VolleyballButler continued its hot start in Section 2-AAA, sweeping North Hills 25-21, 25-17, 25-19 on the road.Matt Huey led the Golden Tornado (7-2, 5-2) with 17 kills. Chris Fiorina finished with 28 digs and Andrew Paterno handed out 35 assists for Butler.
