Madeline C. 'Midge' Freehling

Madeline C. “Midge” Freehling, 72, of Saxonburg passed away Monday at the Allegheny General Hospital.

Born on Aug. 18, 1941, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Dorothy (Derita) Codispot.

Midge was a homemaker, taking care of her children and grandchildren.

She worked as a floral manager for Shop 'n Save in Butler.

She was a member of the Jefferson Center Presbyterian Church. Midge enjoyed going to camp along the river, spending time with her grandchildren and cooking for her family.

Surviving are her loving children, Donald W. “Tiger” (Missie) Freehling Jr. of Butler, Timothy D. (Cathy) Freehling of Torpedo, Donna (Barry Covalt) Kocon of Saxonburg, and Dianne (Michael Macurdy) Harigan of Saxonburg; her 11 grandchildren; her six great-grandchildren; and her brothers, Mike (Judy) Codispot of Butler and Lenny (Kathy) Codispot of Butler.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald W. “Bim” Freehling Sr., and five siblings.

Freehling — The friends of Madeline C. “Midge” Freehling, who passed away Monday, June 9, 2014, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Fox Funeral Home, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.Services will be at 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jonathan West officiating.
