Verna D. Miller, 94, of Cabot passed away at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday at Concordia Lutheran Ministries.

Born on Feb. 2, 1920, in Jefferson Township, she was the daughter of the late Julius J. and Elizabeth (Rennick) Fisher.

She worked for 35 years at the G.C. Murphy Co. as the personnel directress. She also served as assistant manager for the last five years.

Verna was a member of the St. Luke Lutheran Church in Cabot. She was a very caring and loving individual, who cared deeply for children.

Surviving are her nephews, Robert G. Fisher of Butler, and James, Larry, Clifford, and Roger Fisher, all of Florida; her great-niece, Kim Hunka of Butler, and several other nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles F. Miller, who passed away on May 8, 1972; her six sisters, and her five brothers.

Miller — The friends of Verna D. Miller, who passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2014, will be received from 10 a.m. to noon Friday at the Fox Funeral Home, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg. The funeral service will follow at noon at the funeral home with the Rev. Barry Keurulainen officiating.
