Unclaimed remains of veterans to be buried

The Butler County chapter of the Missing in America Project (MIAP) will inter the cremated remains of four county veterans that have been unclaimed for more than 120 days.

The remains will be buried at 9 a.m. Aug. 22 with full military honors at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Cecil Township, Allegheny County.

The remains are of these veterans: Andrew Paul Otoviani, who served in the Navy from 1967 to 1971; David Russell Adkins, who served in the Army in 1975; Marvin William Cohen, who served in the Army from 1953 to 1954; and Jared Richard Morris, who served in the Navy from 1969 to 1970.

John Moore and Jerry Puff, county coordinators for MIAP, are looking for any next of kin to see if they would like to participate in the ceremony and to make sure the family has no other plans for the remains.

Family members should contact Moore at 724-283-7586 or Puff at 724-586-2441.

Relatives who do not want the remains to be buried at the cemetery may take possession of them.
