Robert Elliott

Robert Theodore Elliott, 87, of Butler passed away Sunday at VNA Inpatient Hospice.

He was born on March 18, 1927, in Center Township, the son of the late Harry Philip and Rosa (Badger) Elliott.

Bob was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was a member of the Masonic Lodge 769 and the Scottish Rite of New Castle.

In his younger years, he enjoyed playing baseball with his brothers for the Butler County League.

He worked various jobs throughout his career, and he served as a Center Township supervisor for two years.

He cherished his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He loved hunting and fishing with his sons and his grandsons. He also enjoyed spending time with his one and only granddaughter (his girl).

He was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan and enjoyed going to the casino.

Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Etta J. (Himes) Elliott; his two sons, Terry S. Elliott (Jan) of Butler and Randy L. Elliott (Deana) of Fenelton; his three grandchildren; his three great-grandchildren, and his sister, Jean (Walter) Hoover of Butler.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Wilda Foulk, and his four brothers, Lester Elliott, Gilbert Elliott, Richard Elliott and Edward Elliott.

Elliott — A memorial service to celebrate the life of Robert Theodore Elliott, who passed away Sunday, July 20, 2014, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Rider Lutheran Church, 189 Rider Church Road, West Sunbury.Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Hospice or to the Rider Lutheran Church.Arrangements are entrusted to the Young Funeral Home, Butler.For more information, go to www.youngfuneralhomes.com.
