Butler Memorial Hospital has received Women’s Choice Awards for being the best hospital in the United States in two categories.

The hospital was named as the best hospital for emergency services and for orthopedics.

Butler Memorial got the award for emergency care “because it consistently ranks among the best of the 3,600 hospitals reporting on their emergency department’s performance to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services,” according to the award website.

“They demonstrated extraordinary service in meeting the needs of women and their families,” said Delia Passi, founder of the awards.

It got the award for orthopedic care “because it was first identified for providing comprehensive orthopedic services and provided a minimum number of arthroscopy, joint replacement and spine surgery services, as well as on-site MRI and physical therapy.”

The Women’s Choice Awards, which are sponsored by WomenCertified of Florida, are consumer choice awards designed to list brands that are recommended by women.
