9:27 p.m. Thursday — A motorcyclist was injured following a two-vehicle accident on Center Avenue.Jon E. Elliott, 45, of Butler was driving his motorcycle northbound when a southbound car driven by Matthew Crawford, 23, of Evans City turned across traffic and collided with him.Police said Crawford was attempting to turn onto East Boyd Avenue.Elliott, who was not wearing a helmet, suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital. Crawford was cited for a turning violation.

9:51 a.m. Friday — Two people were injured following a crash on Interstate 79.Robert J. Zarko, 57, of Pittsburgh was driving north near the Slippery Rock exit when he lost control of his car and struck a guard rail off the east side of the road. Zarko's car spun clockwise and crossed back across both lanes and struck the western guardrail, police said.Robert Zarko had minor injuries while David S. Zarko, 51, of Pittsburgh, a passenger, had moderate injuries.Neither men were wearing seat belts.Robert Zarko was cited with a traffic violation.
