SLIPPERY ROCK TWP, Lawrence County — A man brandished a handgun while robbing an Ellwood Road convenience store Friday night.

State police said a white man, described as 30 to 40 years old, was armed while demanding two female cashiers at the Tic Toc Food Mart, 4112 Ellwood Road, give him money from the cash register.

One of the cashiers gave him cash before he fled on foot.

The cashiers, who police did not name, told investigators the robber was about 5-foot-6 with a “stocky build.”

Video surveillance footage of the robbery was obtained from the store.
