Sefcik 50th anniversary
Al and Joan Sefcik of Butler celebrated 50 years of marriage.
Sefcik married the former Joan Schmidt on July 24, 1964, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Butler.
They have two children, Kristen Sefcik of Henrico, Va., and Gregory Sefcik of El Paso, Texas.
Sefcik was an auto repair technician and retired from Country Motors Honda after 30 years of service. He is employed part time at Advance Auto.
Sefcik is restoring his 1963 Plymouth Fury. The couple took this car for their honeymoon.
Mrs. Sefcik retired as a registered nurse in obstetrics at Butler Memorial Hospital.
She loves quilting and machine embroidery. She enjoys making special handmade quilts and gifts.
The Sefciks are members of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Cabot. Both serve on the altar guild.
