Mike Mulvey tossed a two-hit shutout as Cranberry won Game 1 of the Eagle County best-of-three first-round series against Freeport, 2-0, Monday evening.

Ben Follett had a pair of singles and Bill Clinefelter singled in a run for Cranberry, who will travel to Freeport for Game 2 at 6 p.m. today.

Game 1 of the other first-round series between Saxonburg and Zelienople was rained out Monday. The two teams will try again at Butler County Community College at 6 p.m. today.
