Ruggieri, Shields
Caila Ruggieri and Jason Shields, both of Canonsburg, were united in marriage June 14 at Salem United Methodist Church in Wexford. The Rev. William Hastings officiated. A reception followed at the Grazie Restaurant in Wexford.
The bride is the daughter of Michael and Debbie Ruggieri of Pittsburgh. Parents of the bridegroom are Marsha Hempfling of Slippery Rock and Brian Shields of Greencastle, Ind.
The honor attendants were Kaitlyn Moeslein and Kate Zakowski, both of Pittsburgh. The bridesmaids were Chelsea Ruggieri of Pittsburgh and Jessica Johnston of Slippery Rock. The junior bridesmaids were Julia Ruggieri and Emily Ruggieri, both of Portersville.
Performing the duties of best man were Matt Whittenberger of Butler and John Hemmerlin of Grove City. The ushers were Matt Hemmerlin of Slippery Rock and Matt Zupancic of Pittsburgh.
The ring bearer was Jordan Ruggieri of Pittsburgh.
The bride is a 2007 graduate of Baldwin High School and a 2011 graduate of Point Park University.
She is employed by West Virginia University School of Theatre and Dance in Morgantown, W.Va.
The bridegroom graduated from Slippery Rock High School and from Butler County Vocational-Technical School in 2002.
He is employed by Rohrich Toyota in Pittsburgh.
The couple is residing in Canonsburg.
