'Old Love' Relationship focus of comedy
FRANKLIN TWP, Beaver County — The Red Barn Players will present the comedy “Old Love” by Norm Foster for eight performances beginning this weekend.
Performances are set for Friday and Saturday and Aug. 21 to 23 and 28 to 30 at the Red Barn Theatre, Route 288.
“Old Love” is the story of Bud Mitchell and Molly Graham, two people who have known each other casually for 25 years. Bud worked as a salesman for a company owned by Molly's husband, Arthur.
From their first encounter at a company party, Bud becomes infatuated with Molly, who seems amused — and occasionally annoyed — by his interest, especially when he shows up in her life soon after her husband's death.
The play moves forward and back, showing their sporadic encounters through the years.
It is the story of relationships among adults who are “of an age.”
Playing the roles of Bud and Molly are John Zuemie of Cranberry Township and Mary Romeo of Ambridge.
The cast also includes Danielle Jacobson of Portersville; Matt Bergfelt of Ellwood City; Ellen Small of Carrick; Bruce Travers of Ross Township; Amy Isler of New Castle; and Carolee Kamensky of Economy.
The show is directed by Tom Licker of Economy.
Tickets are $12. For reservations, call 724-773-7150.
