Sunday — An unknown vandal pulled the rain gutter away from a house on Saxonburg Boulevard in Clinton Township. The home sustained about $100 in damage. The vandalism happened between midnight and 3 a.m.3:54 p.m. Saturday — Three people were hurt in a two-car wreck in Summit Township. The crash happened when a sport utility vehicle and a car collided on Herman Road, just west of Rail Lane.Colleen L. Beatty, 44, of Herman, who was driving the car, was flown to UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh with moderate injuries. Beatty's passengers — Kathleen B. Claypoole, 66, and Maryann Fleeger, 45, both of Butler — were taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with moderate injuries.Guy A. DePaulo, 50, of Butler, who was driving the SUV, was not hurt. Police said he faces a ticket for making an improper left turn.The Herman Volunteer Fire Department and East Butler EMS assisted police.Saturday — A steel mailbox was stolen from an 83-year-old woman's home on Patterson Road in Jefferson Township. The mailbox, valued at $100, was taken between Aug. 9 and Saturday.6:23 p.m. Aug. 6 — Richard T. Rolison, 45, of Pittsburgh was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his pickup truck collided with an SUV on Route 68 in front of the Butler Farm Show in Connoquenessing Township. Phillip D. Riggs, 52, of Evans City was the other driver.

Saturday — Two Ford City men were hurt when their car crashed into an embankment and rolled onto its side on Pyrra Road in Kittanning Township. Driver Nolan J. Grossman, 26, and his passenger Corbin J. Grossman, 26, suffered minor injuries, Police said Nolan Grossman was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.3:30 p.m. Friday — Two Kittanning woman were caught allegedly shoplifting $205 in merchandise from the Walmart at the Hilltop Plaza in East Franklin Township. One suspect Elizabeth Duncan, 28, a repeat offender, is charged with felony retail theft.Duncan was arraigned on the charge and placed in the Armstrong County Jail on $5,000 bail. The other suspect, Amber Lytle, 20, was cited for summary retail theft.Friday — A Butler woman, who police did not identify, is suspected of fraudulently cashing several checks that she allegedly stole from a 54-year-old man's home in Bradys Bend Township.The checks, which were stolen and forged between Aug. 8 and Friday, were cashed for $1,600. Police said charges against the suspect are pending.Thursday — Police arrested Lindsey N. Maples, 26, of Harrisville on charges she used a stolen bank debit card to make unauthorized withdrawals from a 46-year-old Clay Township woman's bank account. In all, police said, Maples allegedly stole $1,457.The defendant is charged with felony counts of theft, receiving stolen property and access device fraud. She is free on $20,000 bail.July 27 — An unknown identity thief forged two checks to fraudulently purchase car parts at Manor Metals in Templeton. The checks, belonging to a 52-year-old Kittanning man, were stolen July 22. One check for $125 was forged and passed July 22. The other check for $25 was forged and passed on July 27.

1:25 a.m. Saturday — Logan D. Kind, 21, of Slippery Rock was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his pickup truck struck a utility pole and rolled onto its roof along North Liberty Road just north of Schmidt Road in Pine Township, Mercer County.Kind, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh with a “major injury,” according to a police report. He was not wearing a seat belt.10:40 p.m. Friday — A car driven by Michael S. Pokorny, 33, of Pittsburgh struck a deer on Interstate 79 in Plain Grove Township.7:12 p.m. Friday — A Lenmar PowerPort Wave 2400 battery charger was found on the exit 24 westbound on-ramp to Interstate 80 in Wolf Creek Township. The owner can claim the property by calling 724-662-6162.12:56 p.m. Thursday — A 33-year-old Pittsburgh woman is accused of pointing a loaded pistol at another motorist and a girl, both of West Mifflin, Allegheny County, in an apparent case of road rage on I-79 in Springfield Township.Police did not identify the suspect or the alleged victims, a 44-year-old man and a girl, both of West Mifflin, Allegheny County. No injuries were reported.The woman faces charges of reckless endangerment and terroristic threats.3:59 p.m. Tuesday — Two Slippery Rock women were hurt when the driver lost control of the car they were riding in and crashed into an embankment and rolled over on I-79 in New Vernon Township.Roxanne R. Christmann, 47, and Lauren A. Christmann, 25, both passengers in the car, were taken to Grove City Medical Center with minor injuries. Police said the driver Edwin F. Christmann, 20, of Slippery Rock, was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.All three occupants were wearing seat belts.
