2 people suffer minor injuries in morning car crash



Two people were hurt in a two-vehicle crash that closed a portion of West Cunningham Street near the Cigarette Shop in Butler this morning, city police said.
The wreck happened about 7:50 a.m. when a pickup truck in the right lane on one-way West Cunningham Street attempted to turn left onto Birch Street and struck the side of a sport utility vehicle in the left lane.
Both drivers, whose names were not immediately available, were taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with minor injuries, police said.
The Butler Fire Department assisted police at the scene.
