Robert Charles Payment
Robert Charles Payment, 80, of Renfrew passed away Sunday morning at the V.N.A. Inpatient Hospice, Butler.
Born on Jan. 27, 1934, in Buffalo, N.Y., he was a son of the late Millard Joseph Payment and Ann Kuhl Payment.
He graduated from the University of New York at Buffalo with a degree in accounting and had worked as senior vice president and controller for Equibank in Pittsburgh for 19 years, retiring in 1993.
He was a member of the Association of Certified Public Accountants and the Chrysler 300 Car Club. He was an avid Mopar Muscle Car enthusiast, and was a hobbyist woodworker, having built clocks and furniture. He enjoyed working The New York Times crossword puzzles and Sudoku.
Surviving are his wife, Joan Koba Payment, who he married on Sept. 13, 1958; his four children, Robert (Tracy) Payment Jr., Brian Payment and Kevin Payment, all of Butler, and Beth (Steven) Craven of Cranberry Township; his six grandchildren, Jennifer Brison, Amy Souzer, Robert Payment III, Brian Payment Jr., Kory Nowakowski, and Kody Payment, and his five great-grandchildren, Brenden, Dani, Molly, Carson and Connor.
Payment — The friends of Robert Charles Payment, who passed away Sunday, Aug. 17, 2014, will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E.
