In loving memory of my beloved son, Eric Lawton.

It was a cold day in 1977,

God sent to me an angel from Heaven.

Having him, I was so proud,

I showed him off in every crowd.

In 2004 on one hot day,

God came to me to take him away.

At first, my life was completely done,

He was my strength, my loving son.

Eric, today it’s been ten years,

I’m happy for you, but oh, the tears.

I miss and love you so much and always will.
