Gertrude May Landkrohn

Gertrude May Landkrohn, 91, of Cabot passed away at midnight Thursday at the Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia.

She was born on Jan. 2, 1923, in McKeesport, to the late William Sloane and Gertrude M. Crookham Sloane.

Mrs. Landkrohn was a homemaker and a member of the Concord Presbyterian Church, Prosperity, Washington County.

Mrs. Landkrohn is survived by her son, Kevin Landkrohn and his wife, Kathy, of Rockville, Md.; her daughter, Karen Hillman and her husband, Gary, of Butler; her five grandchildren; her 13 great-grandchildren; her two brothers, Harry Sloane of Port Richey, Fla., and Clifford Sloane of White Oak, and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John George Landkrohn, who she married on Jan. 11, 1942, and who passed away on Dec. 8, 2003; one son; one sister; and six brothers.

Landkrohn— In accordance with her wishes, there will be no public visitation or service for Gertrude May Landkrohn, who passed away Thursday, Aug. 21, 2014.Arrangements are by the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E.
