Phyllis Carroll Gundlach Sutton

Phyllis Carroll Gundlach Sutton, 81, of Bradford Woods passed away Tuesday.

She was the beloved wife for 54 years of William Sutton; loving mother of Bronwynn Sutton-McAdams (Michael), Bill Sutton, Christine “Tina” Sutton-Broeren (Tom), and Christian Sutton (Pamela Bigley-Sutton); proud grandmother of Justin Broeren, Joshua Sutton, Holly Broeren, Timothy Sutton, Ezra Broeren and Peyton Bigley; and sister of John, David and James Gundlach, and Wanda Balfour. She is also survived by many loving friends and relatives.

Phyllis was a graduate of Edinboro State Teachers College in 1956 and a gifted artist.

Phyllis' faith was of utmost importance to her, and she used her talents to glorify the Lord. She taught both privately and in the public school settings.

She was a member of the choir at the Memorial Park Church for many years and was instrumental in establishing the Houston Hall Art Gallery, which showcased local artists as a ministry outreach of the church.

Sutton — The friends of Phyllis Carroll Gundlach Sutton, who passed away Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2014, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME of CRANBERRY, 2678 Rochester Road, Cranberry Township.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Memorial Park Presbyterian Church, 8800 Peebles Road, Allison Park. Please meet at the church.In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Memorial Park Presbyterian Church or to Good Samaritan Hospice, 3500 Brooktree Road, Wexford, PA 15090.
