City police are searching for a man suspected of assaulting and robbing a woman Thursday afternoon in front of her home.

Police said a 28-year-old woman was punched in the face about 2:30 p.m. along the 100-block of Second Street. The suspect stole her purse and fled on foot. He was last seen running west on Reeder Street.

Police said the suspect is a white male who was wearing a red baseball cap with a black brim and a black shirt with white paint on it.
