8:58 a.m. Sept. 8 — A student at Butler Junior High School was caught with a disposable razor in a cell phone case. The student, who police did not identify, faces in juvenile court a charge of possession of a weapon on school property.

Saturday — A girl, who police did not identify, was reported missing after she ran away from her home on Leisie Road in Forward Township. An initial search failed to turn up the girl.

4:45 a.m. Saturday — An Ohio man lost control of his sport utility vehicle trying to avoid a deer on the road and crashed on Interstate 80 in Clinton Township, Venango County. The SUV, driven by Ivan G. Lukach, 22, of Parma, rolled over several times, ending on its roof.The Clintonville Volunteer Fire Department assisted police at the scene.

11:45 a.m. Saturday — A suspected drugged driver with a suspended license is accused of causing a four vehicle wreck in West Kittanning. The chain-reaction crash began when Kenneth M. Hooks, 25, of Adrian “at full speed” rear-ended a sport utility vehicle on Butler Road at Route 268, a police report said.The collision forced the SUV driven by Dirk A. Weifenbaugh, 52, of Pittsburgh into the back of a car driven by David G. Piskus, 54, of Allison Park, Allegheny County. Piskus' vehicle, in turn, was pushed into the back of a pickup truck driven by Donna L. Hall, 51, of Kittanning.Weifenbaugh, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to ACMH Hospital in East Franklin Township with minor injuries.A police drug recognition expert examined Hooks at the Kittanning barracks and found he was under the influence of a controlled substance.Hooks faces charges of drugged driving and driving during suspension-DUI related as well as several traffic violations.10:56 p.m. Thursday — Quinton E. Potts, 53, of Ford City was arrested after allegedly breaking into a Manor Township home. Potts is accused of forcing in door at the unoccupied house on Piper Drive.He was arraigned on charges of burglary, trespass and disorderly conduct and placed in the Armstrong County Jail on $5,000 bail.Sept. 5 — A pontoon boat owned by a 52-year East Brady man was cut loose from its dock along the Allegheny River at Dockside Lane near Route 68 in Bradys Bend Township. The vandalism happened Sept. 4 or 5.
