Foundation has new director

The Lighthouse Foundation, a faith-based nonprofit in Butler, has named Cindy Cipoletti as its new executive director, effective immediately.

Cipoletti has been working at The Lighthouse Foundation as an associate director, a board member, and in a variety of volunteer positions over the past five years.

She replaces Dan Borchert, who had that position for several years.

“Cindy has consistently displayed a passion for the ministry, as well as a high degree of competence in each assignment,” said Allan Osterwise, board president and interim executive director.

Since 2012, Cipoletti has been associate director, where her focus has been on implementing new programming, increasing community awareness of the agency’s services, and diversifying the foundation’s funding sources.

Founded in 1987, the foundation serves homeless and impoverished individuals and families in the northern Allegheny County and Butler County.

Before joining the foundation, Cipoletti was an attorney in Butler and in Pittsburgh.
