9 a.m. to noon, Oct. 20, Lifesteps, 383 New Castle Road

A Child Check screening evaluates a child's development in playing, talking, seeing, hearing, moving and thinking.

The visit takes about 30 minutes and the results are discussed immediately with the parents.

The Reality Tour Drug Prevention Program will be at 6 p.m. Oct. 13 at the YWCA, 120 W. Cunningham St.The program is for youths age 10 and older who must be accompanied by their own parent.Register by Oct. 6.
