Lifesteps will offer two Child Check screenings in October.

9 a.m. to noon Oct. 6, YMCA, 339 N. Washington St.

9 a.m. to noon, Oct. 20, Lifesteps, 383 New Castle Road

A Child Check screening evaluates a child's development in playing, talking, seeing, hearing, moving and thinking.

The visit takes about 30 minutes and the results are discussed immediately with the parents.

The Reality Tour Drug Prevention Program will be at 6 p.m. Oct. 13 at the YWCA, 120 W. Cunningham St.The program is for youths age 10 and older who must be accompanied by their own parent.Register by Oct. 6. CRANBERRY TWP — Food coach Kathy Parry will speak at 7 p.m. Oct. 7 at the St. Ferdinand education building, 2535 Rochester Road.Her topic will be “Learn your ABCs and Omega 3s of Supplements.”Parry has degrees in business and food management.
