Sylvester wins 200th for Raiders

Kelsey O'Connor scored a pair of goals to helpSeneca Valley girls soccer coach Dave Sylvester notch his 200th career win as the Raiders downed North Allegheny 4-0 Saturday.

Cassidy Testa and Emily Cekella also found the net for Seneca Valley (9-0, 7-0).

Sylvester has won three WPIAL titles with the Raiders and is now 200-52-25 in his career.

Freeport 2, Knoch 1 — Olivia Gasperic and Sarah Lipniskis each scored goals for the Yellowjackets (6-3-1, 4-2-1).

Rainie Carney had eight saves for Freeport to preserve the win.

Knoch fell to 6-3 overall and 5-2 in the section.

Karns City 9, Mercer 0 — Emily LoPresti scored five goals in the Gremlins' rout.

Seneca Valley rolled to a 5-0 win over Butler.It was the 199th win of Raiders' coach George Williams' career.No other details were available.Freeport 4, Highlands 0 — Isaac Bigenho scored twice to lead the Yellowjackets to a Section 2-AA win. Dylan Kersten and Robbie Reichenbaugh also scored for Freeport (6-3, 4-3).Karns City 6, DuBois Central Catholic 0 — Noah Pollock scored three goals and Spenser Myers added two in this Gremlins' rout.Tyler Pollock also had a goal and two assists for Karns City (7-1-1).

Gavin Austin hauled in a 55-yard touchdown pass from Javon Thomas and Thomas also had a short touchdown run, but Summit Academy fell to Aliquippa (4-0) 49-14 Saturday afternoon.Thomas scored from 6 yards out on a scramble for the Knights (0-4).
