Philip “Todd” Cypher

Philip “Todd” Cypher, 48, of Butler passed away Sunday at his home following an illness.

Born on Nov. 23, 1965, in Butler, he was a son of Philip D. Cypher and the late Evelyn Osche.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was a distinguished military personnel in the special forces, where he served for 15 years.

He was a member of the VFW, the American Legion Post 683 and the National Rifle Association. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Surviving are his wife, Roxanne Harris Cypher, who he married on July 11, 2009; his two sons, Jared A. and Philip E. Cypher both of Butler; his stepson, William Wise; his three stepdaughters, Laryssa and Alexys Harris and Therysa Wise; his two sisters, Terry (Doug) Rihl of Virginia and Annette (Eric) Kowalski of Pittsburgh; his grandmother, Helen Cypher of Cabot; his special aunt, Patricia Osche; and his numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents and his paternal grandfather.

Cypher— The friends of Philip “Todd” Cypher, who passed away Sunday, Sept. 21, 2014, will be received from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at theGeibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.Funeral services will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev.
