Moxie, Rader key team wins

Mandi Moxie took first place with a time of 19 minutes, 51 seconds and four of her teammates finished in the top 10 to help the Knoch girls cross country team defeat Butler and Hampton Monday at Knoch.

Knoch finished with a team score of 27, edging Butler (30) and Hampton (44).

Lauren Karenbauer (third), Rachael Wittmer (sixth), Ashlyn Carlsson (eighth) and Jenna Shelton (ninth) also finished in the top 10 for the Knights (6-1).

On the boys' side, Butler's Josh Rader won with a time of 16:37 to help the Golden Tornado finish with a team score of 36, edging out Knoch (38) and Hampton (49).

Noah Bowser was the top boys' finisher for Freeport, placing third with a time of 18:19.
