Butler golf earns 1-stroke win over Shaler

Nic Leone shot a 2-under-par 33 to earn medalist honors Friday as Butler closed its golf season with a 198-199 victory over Shaler at Butler Country Club.

The Golden Tornado ended the season at 5-9 overall, 4-6 in section play. Gabe Baroffio carded a 37 for Butler.

Tanner Grzegorczyk paced Shaler with a 37.

Hampton 182, Knoch 188 — The Knights (6-9, 2-8) had all five of their golfers shoot below 40 and still lost at Saxon Golf Course.

Christian Evanchec paced Knoch with a 36.

Ben Huber and Marissa Balish shared medalist honors for Hampton with 35.
