Alex Lassinger and Kiersten Malak

Kiersten Malak was named queen of Freeport High School's homecoming festivities Friday.

Kiersten is the daughter of Joel Malak and Nicole Selinger and stepdaughter to Jeneane Malak and Matthew Selinger.

She was escorted by Alex Lassinger, the son of Bryan and Ann Lassinger.

Other members of Freeport's court include Grace Ward, Kari Huth, Autumn Stone, honorary princess; Maggee Carrara, Haley Conner, Macy Smolic, Dylan Kersten, Derek Jack, Mike Knize, Zach Persijn, Dylan Larimore and Cory Bird.

Freeport lost the homecoming game against Highlands, 42-19.
