The Butler Ghost Walk will take place at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays from Oct. 24 to Nov. 1. The 60-minute event begins in Diamond Park directly across from the Butler County Courthouse. Participants are taken on a guided walking tour to experience the ghosts from Butler’s historic past through tour guide Bill May’s stories of Sam Mohawk, the old hospital, the phantom Civil War regiment and others. The Old Stone House has public tours from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and noon and 5 p.m. Sundays through Oct. 26. Admission is $3 per person or $5 per family. The historic site at the intersection of Routes 8, 173 and 528 in Brady Township is owned and operated by Slippery Rock University. A Harvest Dinner on Saturday requires advance registration at oldstonehousepa.org/tasteofhistory.

Harmony Museum, 218 Mercer St., Harmony, has guided tours from 1 to 4 p.m. daily except when the museum is closed Mondays and holidays. Admission is $7 for adults, $6 for senior citizens, and $3 for youths ages 6 to 17. Call 724-452-7341.

“The Underground Railroad in Quilts” by Cassandra Gunkel, hosted by the Grove City Community Library and the Where the Corners Meet Quilt Guild, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at East Main Presbyterian Church, 120 E. National Aviary, 700 Arch St., presents “Whooo’s Ready for Owl-o-Ween?” from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Oct. 25. Aviary keepers will introduce visitors to four different species of owls, including the screech owl, spectacled owl, Eurasian eagle-owl, and a barn owl named Whisper. Owl-o-Ween events are included with regular admission of $14 for adults, $13 for senior citizens and $12 for children ages 2 to 18. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Visit www.aviary.org

Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, 700 Frank Curto Drive, opens the fall flower show Saturday and running through Nov. 9. Conservatory hours are 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily and until 10 p.m. Fridays. Admission is $15 for adults, $14 for senior citizens and students, and $11 for children ages 2 to 18. Heinz History Center, 1212 Smallman St., hosts “Shipwrecks: The Science and History of Underwater Archaeology,” an interactive panel discussion, at 11 a.m. Saturday. Continuing through Jan. 4 is “Pittsburgh’s Lost Steamboat: Treasures of the Arabia.” An exhibition showcasing the local origins and international reach of the Heinz company also continues. ToonSeum, a museum of cartoon art at 945 Liberty Ave., presents “Cartoons are the Best Medicine: The Healing Humor of Dan Piraro,” an exhibition featuring 20 Bizarro cartoons on health and the medical profession, through Nov. 2. Admission is $6 for those over age 13 and $3 for children ages 6 to 12. Senior citizens, college students, veterans and active military pay $5. Visit toonseum.org.

Children’s Museum, Allegheny Square, has opened the exhibit “Bounce: Inspired by the World’s Most Amazing Ball!” The annual Tough Art exhibit continues.
