Constance 'Connie' M. Cavalero

Constance “Connie” M. Cavalero, 79, of Butler passed away Saturday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

She was born on June 28, 1935, in Glen Morrison, W.Va., the daughter of the late Sam and Elizabeth Codispot Varano.

Connie was a Catholic.

She was an excellent baker who enjoyed doing ceramics. Christmas was her favorite holiday. She especially loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Surviving are her son, Samuel (Denel) Cavalero III of Butler; her daughter, Tammy Cavalero of Butler; her two stepdaughters, Patti (Mark) Donaldson and Cathy (Gary) Zarnick, both of Butler; her grandson, Colter Cavalero; her granddaughter, Samantha Wagner; her two sisters, Mary Ann Henry of Butler and Rachel (Robert) Northime of Chicora; her two brothers, Pat Varano and Mickey Varano, both of Butler, and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Cavalero Jr., who died on Aug. 26, 1999, and her sister, Josephine Varano.

Cavalero — The friends of Constance “Connie” M. Cavalero, who passed away Saturday, Oct. 18, 2014, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler.A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St., Butler.
