GROVE CITY— Grove City College junior Emily Rabenold has been named Presidents’ Athletic Conference Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week.Rabenold ran the 6K course in 22 minutes, 19.1 seconds in placing sixth out of 341 runners at the recent Oberlin College Inter-Regional Rumble.

GROVE CITY — Grove City College goalkeepers Ben Weaver and Kristi Lathrop have been named Presidents’ Athletic Conference Men’s and Women’s Soccer Goalkeepers of the Week, respectively.Weaver, a junior, has posted four consecutive shutouts, including wins over Washington & Jefferson and Geneva last week.Lathrop, as senior, made seven total saves in shutouts of W&J and Geneva and has yet to allow a goal in conference play.

LOS ANGELES — The NHL suspended Los Angeles Kings defenseman Slava Voynov indefinitely Monday after the two-time Stanley Cup winner's arrest on suspicion of domestic violence.Voynov was booked and released at the Redondo Beach jail after his arrest early Monday morning at a Torrance hospital on suspicion of corporal injury to a spouse, Redondo Beach police Lt. Joe Hoffman said. The 24-year-old Russian defenseman posted $50,000 bail.Craig Renetzky, the attorney representing Voynov, told The Associated Press that Voynov hasn't yet been charged with a crime. His next court date is Dec. 1, Renetzky said.Redondo Beach police responded to a neighbor's report of a woman screaming and crying in Voynov's neighborhood on Sunday night, but couldn't find anyone, Hoffman said. About 90 minutes later, Voynov was arrested after a nurse at the Torrance hospital called police to report the alleged victim was being treated for injuries that “alarmed” the emergency-room staff.Police didn't release the alleged victim's name or her relationship to Voynov, citing her confidentiality rights.

NEW DELHI — The Mizoram Football Association says a 23-year-old Indian soccer player has died after injuring his spine while celebrating a goal with somersaults.Peter Biaksangzuala landed on his back while doing flips last Tuesday in the northeastern state of Mizoram. He died Sunday. Biaksangzuala scored in the 62nd minute. After his celebration went bad, he was stretchered off the field to a hospital.The football association is planning to organize a match in his memory.
