Jennings Environmental Education Center, Route 528, Brady Township, hosts “A Bump in the Night” at 7 p.m. Sunday. A brief indoor presentation will focus on the folklore, legends and stories that were created to give meaning to unfamiliar sounds, and to explain why some animals come out only at night. The presentation will be followed by an outdoor walk. Dress appropriately for being outdoors in the dark forest for about an hour. Jennings is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays and on weekends as scheduled. The trails are open daily from sunrise to sunset. Call 724-794-6011.

Succop Nature Park, formerly the Succop Conservancy, 185 W. Airport Road, Penn Township, is open from dawn to dusk, with dog-friendly walking trails, two ponds, and spaces for outdoor activities and education. E-mail rhandel@aswp.org or visit www.aswp.org.

Cruises aboard Nautical Nature, a 37-passenger enclosed pontoon boat, include a 90 minute narrated tour of Lake Arthur, as sponsored by the Moraine Preservation Fund. Cruises take place through Nov. 2. Cruises begin at 1 and 3 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Tickets for adults are $11 online and $12 at the gate, for senior citizens, $9 and $10, and for children, $5 and $6.
