Seneca Valley dispatched Peters Township with a 25-18, 25-20, 25-21 victory in a WPIAL Class AAA girls volleyball first-round playoff Wednesday evening.

Bre Damiani posted 21 digs and Madeline Poirier 18 kills.

SV also received strong efforts from Bella Seman (12 digs), Sydney Martini (16 kills) and Melissa Carter (10 kills and three blocks).

The Raiders (17-3) will take on Hempfield in the quarterfinals Tuesday at a site and time to be determined.
