PROSPECT — The eighth annual Star Gala benefiting Lifesteps Family Caring Fund will be at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 8 at The Atrium, 1031 New Castle Road.

The event will feature a catered meal, auctions and unique raffles, complimentary beverages, gifts, a photo booth and musical entertainment by Dancing Queen, a 1970s and ’80s cover band.

Pierre and Hazel Grosclaude, Lifesteps’ 2014 Star Award recipients, also will be honored for their dedication and volunteerism.

Their history with Lifesteps began when their son Tom attended Easter Seals programs in Butler County. The Grosclaudes continued their involvement with Lifesteps by helping to start the annual Rotary and Lifesteps Election Day Festival, which benefits the Lifesteps Family Caring Fund.

For 55 years, the Grosclaudes have been a part of Pancake Festival and have involved their children and grandchildren in volunteerism at the event.

The Grosclaudes have inspired others with their commitment to community service.
