11:06 p.m. Thursday — Jeffrey A. Blystone, 51, of Butler was charged with DUI after he allegedly struck two parked cars on East Jefferson Street.Blystone fled the scene after his pickup truck crashed into the vehicles parked along the 400-block. Witnesses saw Blystone run to a nearby convenience store, where he was found by police.Officers said Blystone had trouble standing and had a strong odor of alcohol. He was taken to the police station an given a breath test, which showed his blood-alcohol content to be .205 percent. The legal limit to drive in Pennsylvania is .08 percent.10 p.m. Oct. 18 — Laura N. Rotan, 26, of Butler was hit by a car driven by Raymond C. Reges as she was crossing West Cunningham Street near its intersection with Third Avenue.Reges told police he did not see Rotan because she was wearing dark clothing and it was raining outside.Rotan was hit in the eastbound lane. She was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with pain in her right knee.No charges were filed.

Thursday — Hope Groham, 29, unknown address, reported someone stole nearly $350 worth of groceries from her unlocked vehicle that was parked on Hannahstown Road in Jefferson Township. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 724-284-8100.8:50 a.m. Tuesday — An SUV driven by James N. Edwards, 46, of Munhall crashed into an embankment and rolled on its side along Interstate 79 near mile marker 89. Edwards lost control of his car while avoiding a deer. Edwards, who was wearing a seat belt, was treated at the scene and released.

7 a.m. Thursday — A 17-year-old boy lost control of his car along Portersville Road in Perry Township, Lawrence County, and crashed into a garage.Police said the teen, who was not identified, was driving west when he lost control of his vehicle. The teen's car struck a fence before hitting a 2009 Porche parked in the garage.Police said the teen's car had severe damage while the parked Porche suffered moderate damage. There was no one in the parked vehicle. The owner of the Porche was not identified. The teen was cited with a traffic lane violation.
