Butler — Adm. Jonathan W. Greenert, chief of U.S. naval operations and a Butler native, will attend a Navy band concert at 3 p.m. Sunday at Butler Intermediate High School.

The U.S. Navy Band’s jazz ensemble, The Commodores, will perform free.

The band intends to recognize Greenert, a distinguished Butler High School alumnus, at the performance.

Greenert also will take part in an interactive video conference Monday with hundreds of high school students in the Pittsburgh region.

He will talk about global security and the Navy in a program sponsored by the World Affairs Council of Pittsburgh.
