Gary Thomas and Tara Roffis

An Oct. 9 wedding is being planned by Tara A-R Roffis of Butler and Gary J. Thomas of Apollo.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Carol Peters-Lehnerd of Butler and Stefan Roffis of Saxonburg. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Holly and Gary W. Thomas of Apollo.

The future bride is a 2008 graduate of Butler High School. She graduated from California (Pa.) University with a degree in social work in 2013.

She is employed by Washington County Hospital in Washington.

Her fiance graduated in 2009 from Apollo Ridge High School. He received a degree in technology education from California (Pa.) University in 2013.

He is employed by Urbana Middle School in Fredrick, Md.
