Jacob H. Wolfe

Jacob H. Wolfe, 90, of Adrian passed away Friday at Sugar Creek Rest, Worthington.

He was born on Sept. 2, 1924, in East Franklin Township to the late McKinley and Stella Ruffner Wolfe.

He worked at Hau's Refractories and the Glacial Sand and Gravel Co., retiring from Laborers Local 952.

He enjoyed hunting and gardening.

Survivors include his daughter, Connie (Jim) Crawford of RD 2 Karns City; his sons, Jacob (Kathy) Wolfe Jr. of Sherrett, James (Linda) Wolfe of RD 1 East Brady, Robert (Patricia) Wolfe of Adrian, Marty (Debbie) Wolfe of Garretts Run, and Ronald (Teri) Wolfe of Adrian; his son-in-law, Rick Swaney of Adrian; his 19 grandchildren; his 27 great-grandchildren; his three great-great-grandchildren; his brother, Ray G. Wolfe of Adrian; his sister, Virginia Roncher of Adrian, and his half-sister, Linda Black of Butler.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen L. Kaufman Wolfe, who he married in July 1944 and who died on July 22, 2014; his daughter, Kathy Swaney; his grandson, Jimmy Wolfe; his great-grandson, Matthew Johns; his two brothers, John Wolfe and Audley “Zeke” Wolfe; his four sisters, Mary Johns, Evelyn Toy, Dorothy Faulx, and Mae Ambrose, and his three half-brothers, Jerry, William and Richard Wolfe.

Wolfe — The friends of Jacob H. Wolfe, who passed away Friday, Nov. 14, 2014, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 832 E. Brady Road, Cowansville.Additional visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 280 St. Marks Road, Adrian, with the Rev.
