Sanders 65th anniversary

Jack and Anne Sanders

Jack and Anne Sanders of Butler celebrated 65 years of marriage with a reception at Concordia in Cabot.

Sanders married the former Anne Rodgers of Coylesville on Sept. 12, 1949, at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Coylesville.

They have seven children, Jackie, who died in infancy, Terry Bevelacqua of Richland, Wash., Carol Borderud of Toccoa, Ga., Kathy Sanders of Boston, David Sanders of Fredericksburg, Va., John Sanders of Cabot and Mark Sanders of Grove City, Ohio.

They also have 22 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.

Sanders retired from Investor’s Diversified Services where he was a financial planner. Before World War II,he was employed by American Bantam Car Co. He also owned Mobil and Amoco service stations in Butler after World War II.

He is a U.S. Army veteran who served in the European Campaign. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus, Elks Club and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He enjoys gardening.

Mrs. Sanders is a homemaker. She retired as a secretary from Penn Champ Oil and Butler School District.

Her passion is serving the Lord and being a devoted confidant to her children and extended family.

The Sanderses are members of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church.
