Fooled again

I have grown to hate the word compromise in every political sense. When either party uses the word compromise, it is applied in terms of what special interests want from the Republicans or Democrats, not what We the People need.

The only difference in behavior between Democrats and Republicans is spelling; behavior is identical. Politics and party are first and at times the only subject of interest.

In 2008 at the national level, the Democrats took overwhelming control of both the U.S. House and Senate. Six years later, look at our quality of life and our reduced liberty and freedom resulting from their 2008 behavior.

Four years ago in Pennsylvania, we placed control of both chambers and governor’s chair in the care of the Republicans. All we got was four years of bragging about passing budgets on time and a new gasoline tax.

I feel like I am about to see a 2014 version of Charlie Brown, Lucy and the football cartoon all over again. We are Charlie Brown.
