Police investigate home robbery in Center Twp.

CENTER TWP — State police are investigating a robbery that occurred at a township home Friday night.

Police said a 24-year-old woman was in the living room of the home on West Sunbury Road when she heard a loud knock at the front door after 10:30 p.m.

When she stood up from the couch, an unknown black male kicked open the door and punched the victim, knocking her to the floor, the police report said.

After physically assaulting the victim, the man brandished a kitchen knife and demanded money.

The woman got up and gave the man her wallet and cell phone. The attacker then hit the victim a second time, knocking her to the floor, and kicked her in the face before fleeing.

As the suspect left, the victim looked out the front door and saw what she believed was a dark-colored Jeep Cherokee leaving her driveway and going north on West Sunbury Road. The Jeep was possibly green, police said.

The man was described as about 5-foot-8 with a gray mustache. He was wearing a dark brown hooded Carhartt-style jacket, jeans, and a black knit hat.

Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 724-284-8100.
